scw_headerANDRA is seeking a suitably qualified person, preferably with engineering qualifications, to manage the safety, technical and procedural aspects of ANDRA Drag Racing, in line with the policy of the Association.

The position is permanently based in Adelaide. Travel to all Australian states and Territories is required from time to time.

CHARITIES and youth mentoring organisations are missing out because of stalled negotiations on a proposed motorsport park at Gillman, its backers say.

The Adelaide Motorplex consortium has fought for three years to buy or lease State Government land for the $100 million project, with the initial $25 million stage to include a race circuit, drag strip and business centre.

Victorian Nationals leader Peter Ryan visited Swan Hill's Chisholm Park this week and met with motor sports and Drag Racing Club representatives to discuss the proposed development of the complex including the plans for a ¼ mile drag strip.
