The Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series is a national, points based competition open to all permanent ANDRA license holders for participants in Groups Two, Three and Four. Referred to as sportsman classes.
Posting over $50,000 in end of season prize money, Summit Racing Equipment are keen supporters of sportsman racing.
It may have taken them 38 years, but Aussie drag racing legend Graeme Cooper and his famous “Bricklayer” Holden station wagon have finally won the Australian Nationals.
For the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series, all the racers had two qualifiers each day, giving them plenty of opportunity to improve, especially since Saturday was cooler after Friday’s heat.
It was a planned trip East for Western Australian Junior Dragster racer Jasmine Slamar and her family. The purpose of the trip besides having some fun was to pick up some points along the way. Round 7 of the Summit Racing Equipment Series certainly delivered with some record setting racing at the 51st Australian Nationals.
Super Comp – Jamie Chaisty
The Super Comp bracket produced a number of new records at Calder Park and saw 12 of the 16-car field under their index! Big surprise was seeing the number one qualifier Daniel Camilleri go out in the first round against Les Heintz following a .608 reaction.
