After an extensive development period with stakeholders around the country the 2015/16 calendar is ready for distribution.
Some of the highlights include;
- Change from the recently introduced calendar year back to a financial year.
- Two seasons over an 18 month period to facilitate the change rather than another extensive 18 month program.
- Point caps for the shorter and full season.
- The Willowbank Super 3 event changing from a 2 day event back to a 1 day event.
- A change in date of the Westernationals to late January, early February
With a change in season and additional tracks looking at future opportunities there has been some extensive juggling of dates and events. We thank everyone for their patience and consideration while this has been developed. With ten different tracks hosting championship events in 2015/16 it was always going to be a difficult task. With another three international standard tracks underway and regional venues developing we will continue to look for additional growth and championship opportunities.

Points Caps – 2015 Sportsman Championship Season
The six month 2015 season presents its own opportunities with reduced rounds and therefore a reduced points cap. Competitors may accrue points at any or every round in the championship. Points will be capped at 160 for competitors in groups 2, 3 and 4 prior to the final event of the season. Points accrued at the final event will be added to these to determine Champions
Travel Bonus Points – 2015 Sportsman Championship Season
Travel Bonus Points: A 50% bonus for points scored at the Perth Motorplex round, where at least one additional Sportsman Round is contested in the same season. Travel bonus points are only applicable to racers in Groups 2, 3 and 4.
