The six Directors of the Australian National Drag Racing Association Limited are:

  • Nathan Peirano (Chairman), Northern Australia Divisional Director of ANDRA and Supercharged Outlaws competitor. Pilots the Time Traveller Outlaw Nitro Funny Car and joined the Divisional Council in 2012 then became the Divisional Director in March of 2015 after serving as the alternate for six months.
  • Terry Jongen, Western Australian Division Director of ANDRA and a medical professional based in Perth. Terry has been involved in the development of medical services in drag racing and speedway in motor sport and competes in ANDRA Competition Bike when time permits.
  • Grant Wilson, heads up the Corporate Advisory and Audit Division at William Buck Chartered Accountants and Advisors in Adelaide. Grant is a Mopar, motor and water sports enthusiast and specialises in business investigation and advisory work, project management, financial and business modelling, board and management representation, financial restructuring and business assurance.
  • Peter Kapiris, Drag Racing under the ANDRA banner for 26 years and In 2002 Peter won the ANDRA Top Doorslammer Championship. Peter started in the sport in 1990 with a Chev Beretta. The car went through many colour schemes and transformations. His next car was a Holden Statesman in 1994. In 1997 Peter introduced “The Batmobile” Studebaker Top Doorslammer built by Murray Anderson champion. His most recent ‘slammer is a ’57 Dodge Saratoga.
  • Grant Hamon, has over 35 years of experience in motorsport, both as a competitor and as a sports administrator. Grant was a driving force behind the creation of MotorSports NT Inc, which is the peak motorsports body in the Northern Territory. Grant was also involved in Speedway, Karting and the Northern Territory Motorsports Council and is regarded as one of the most significant and influential people in Northern Territory motorsports.
  • Wayne Downes. South Queensland Division Director Wayne Downes was recently voted onto the ANDRA Board at the Annual General Meeting. This new post joins a substantial list of positions held by the long-time proponent of our sport. He is currently the SQ National Rules Committee representative, the National Group 2 Classifier, a non-voting member of the Index Review Committee, the Chief Steward for South Queensland, a National Steward, and of course the Division Director for South Queensland.
