Have you got a vintage car or bike just sitting in the shed? Do you only take it out once a month for the odd cruise or car show? Make sure that this month you get your pride and joy out to the Top End Nostalgias at Hidden Valley Drag Strip on Saturday 30 July!
Part of the 2011 Track Championship Series, the Top End Nostalgias are open to all vehicles, young and old. The handicapped drag racing format means it doesn’t matter how quick the car is, it all comes down to driver skill and consistency.
“At the last Nostalgia event we were amazed at the number of vintage cars and bikes that we had never seen before” says HVDRA President Jay Jukes.
“A large majority of competitive drag cars are based on early models such as the 1923 T Bucket, or old style Willys as well as the good old Chev.” explains Jukes.
“We have taken it on ourselves to give the motoring enthusiasts a chance to try something different and bring their cars to a good old fashioned drag race.”
“We want to hear from the motoring clubs and individuals that may have classic cars and bikes sitting in the shed as this is the perfect way to see if your old girl still has it in her.”
Competitor entries are open until the 22 July in the following categories:
Outlaws – 8.50 or faster
Super Sedan – 10.99 or faster
Super Street – 11.00 – 12.99
Street – 13.00 or slower
Modified Bike – 9.99 or faster
