Following the recent meeting in Adelaide between ANDRA and the three clubs that stage the Max Cranes Drag Racing Tri Series at their tracks, the following date have been finalised for 2011/2012.
Round one will be contested in Mildura at the Sunset Strip Saturday 12th November 2011
Round two will be conducted in Naracoorte at the Coonawarra Dragway Saturday 21th January 201
Round three, the finals will be staged in Whyalla at Steel City Dragstrip Sunday 11th March 2012
The ANDRA eliminators to be contest are:
Junior Dragster
Modified Bike
Super Street
Super Sedan
Modified Eliminator
Last Season the 2010/11 Max Cranes Tri Series provided some great racing, results where:
Junior Dragster was hotly contested and won by Matt Schiell from Whyalla.
Modified Bike was won by Archie Fabian a hard charging relatively new comer to the sport from Whyalla.
Super Street winner Bob Sherry from Adelaide showed how age is no barrier in drag racing.
Super Sedan winner Herman Tosti from Adelaide may leave the door open for another successor.
Modified Eliminator was won by young gun Josh Voight from the South Australian Riverland driving the family altered.
With Josh winning Modified he was also awarded the inaugural Glenn Tozer memorial trophy, this trophy will again be presented to the winner of Modified Eliminator, at the Max Cranes 2011/12 Drag Racing Tri Series final in Whyalla.
