Summit Racing Queensland Championship

The Queensland Championship is a new drag racing series taking in three tracks – Palmyra Dragway, Benaraby Dragway and Ironbark Dragway.

A year in the making, the concept was presented to ANDRA to give Queensland-based licence holders an opportunity to participate in a local series, and win a copper ANDRA Christmas tree trophy. In fact, any ANDRA licence holder can participate in the series. After a succesful inaugural season in 2017, the series was back in 2018 and again in 2019 with the support of Summit Racing Equipment.

All three events are run over the eighth-mile using the Chicago Shootout format. These events are focused on providing a format that encourages Sportsman racers to travel and enjoy plenty of track time on their way to be crowned the ANDRA Queensland Champion.
