The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is pleased to welcome Huntsman Racing as full bracket sponsor for Supercharged Outlaws within the new ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.
Huntsman Racing – which also sponsors a number of its fellow race teams – is headed up by 2022 Supercharged Outlaws ANDRA National Champion and multiple silver ANDRA Christmas Tree winner, Mark Hunt.
“I am a big supporter of there being an ANDRA series and I have personally been pushing hard as have a number of other racers since the end of the last series to get a series back up and running, and now we are very pleased that ANDRA has come to the party with this new sportsman series,” ‘Huntsman’ said.
“I have always been a contender in Supercharged Outlaws, and it is a bracket that I love, so it makes perfect sense that I would support Supercharged Outlaws in the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.”
ANDRA Chief Executive Officer, Tim McAvaney, said he was happy to welcome Huntsman Racing to the recently launched championship, which announced an eight-round calendar last month.
“To have the backing of Huntsman Racing and Mark Hunt, who are well-known within our ANDRA drag racing community, is something we are very pleased about as we launch this new series ready for the 2024/2025 season,” McAvaney said.
“Since we announced the new ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship a couple of weeks ago, the feedback and support we have been receiving has just been fantastic and we are so excited to ensure this new place to race will deliver for our valued ANDRA members.
“ANDRA members told us that this is what they want and as a member-based and member-driven organisation, we can’t wait to bring this new series to life in conjunction with our valued ANDRA member tracks from August through to April.”
