Team Bray will be putting drag racing front and centre at this weekend’s V8 Supercar event in the north Queensland city with burnout displays and their Top Doorslammers on display.

The Sidchrome Burnout cars including Victor Bray’s 1957 Chev and Ben Bray’s new look Holden SS ute will both be doing doughnuts around the tight street circuit.

The show has been to Bathurst, Gold Coast, Darwin, Willowbank, Melbourne and Adelaide and Victor can’t wait to hit Townsville for the first time.

“Ever since the V8s have been in Townsville I have wanted to get up there with the burnout cars. I have drag taced in Townsville many times and now I get a chance to bring the team’s burnout cars up and perform in front of our North Queensland fans,” Victor said.

The father and son duo will be appearing over the weekend as part of the on track entertainment program.

“This is our first time at the Townsville carnival and we intend to make sure that it’s not only the V8 Supercars that get all the attention this weekend,” said Ben. “We have given Smokin (nick name for Ben’s ute) a face lift for the weekend. If you like lots of noise and smoky doughnuts you will love our show.”

Team Bray will be doing demonstrations on track on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the machines can be checked out up close at their trailer inside turn three.
