Scott White comes in to the Lady Daly Hotel Springnationals at Adelaide International Raceway sitting in fourth place in the 2012-13 ANDRA Pro Stock Motorcycle championship.

After four rounds in the championship, the Darwin-based racer’s best finish this season so far was at the Nitro Champs in May where he qualified second, held top speed in qualifying and went out in the semi finals.

Since then White says the team have regrouped to see out the rest of the season.

“I have rebuilt the spare engine and feel like we are in a very good position,” he said. “I am a lot more comfortable with my riding and confident that we now have some consistency that we lacked before. We had a problem with torching pistons, which came down to issues with the jets.”

White has arrived early in Adelaide to ensure he has the best preparation in the lead up to the Lady Daly Hotel Springnationals.

“The reason for that was so I could spend a few days at Jim Hanlon’s shop – Super Bike Performance,” he said. “I have some ideas with carburation and having the use of the dyno is very handy to steer us in the right direction.”

White is hopeful South Australia will provide him with his first Pro Stock Motorcycle victory.

“I am familiar with the track and while we all know that can be a tricky, we are totally prepared,” he said. “Along with Jim (Hanlon) I will have a new crew for this meeting one of which is a new Pro Stock Motorcycle racer who will eventually be putting his wife on the seat. They are keen to learn the ropes and lend a hand for which I am very grateful.”

The Lady Daly Hotel Springnationals at Adelaide International Raceway also includes ANDRA Drag Racing Series rounds of Top Doorslammer and Pro Stock plus a round of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.

Qualifying begins on Friday with racing Saturday.
