The AC DELCO 300 ZX of Michael "PATCH Frossos was out testing at the Perth Motorplex on Sunday the 17th October 2010.

Over the Off Season the AC DELCO 300ZX has been on a diet and had it's usual maintenance and freshen up for the gruelling season ahead.

It was time to head to the track and see if all the hard work over the winter/ off season had been worth it. New tyres fitted and ready for the first outing, the car was towed out and waited in the stagging lanes. The team confident all that could have been done had been and we should see a good pass. We ended up in the left lane as the right had been out of commission.

“PATCH” was strapped in and ready for his first attack on the track, the burnout could have been better (unfamiliar accelerator linkage) and into stage, lights came down and he is off, OK 60 footer however was a little loose (drifted around on the track) for the rest of the pass. Nice driving Patch. With wheel spin off the line the team would need to make adjustments before going out again.

Back in the Pit Paddock the usual between race maintenance was performed and some suspension changes made to settle the car down. After the pass Patch was heard to say “I had to drive that lap, that ¼ mile felt like it was ½ a mile”.

Now back in the stagging lanes, Patch strapped in and we were ready. A slightly better 60 foot time and a straighter lap the result.

The team had made two laps and brought the AC DELCO 300ZX back to the Pit Paddock after the usual maintenance the car was packed back into the transporter and taken back to the workshop in preparation for the First round of the local track championship at the Perth Motorplex on the 29th and 30th October 2010.
