We have recently launched the ANDRA Contingency Programme. As this has not been operational since 2001 we will initially be sourcing support for the Programme.
The 2015/16 ANDRA Drag Racing season will see the re-birth of the contingency programme. The 2015/16 ANDRA Contingency Programme offers cash or product bonuses to the value of $100 per win and $50 runner-up to successful participants in the ANDRA Drag Racing Season and Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series.
The contingency tables are in an easy to follow format listing all of the sponsors available to each bracket. Once you have identified the product or service sponsors available for your bracket check the sponsor information tables below:
BELOW, A LIST OF VALID CLAIMABLE PRODUCTS/SERVICES WILL BE ADDED AS WE SIGN NEW SPONSORS TO THE PROGRAMME:
ANDRA Drag Racing Series | Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series (lists will be added here as we source support)
Sponsors posting bonuses for the 2015/16 ANDRA season are providing direct support to Australian drag racing at a grass roots level. The ANDRA contingency sponsorship lists should be the first place you look when buying equipment, having work done or even arranging your travel.
WHAT IS THE CONTINGENCY PROGRAMME?
The ANDRA Contingency Programme as mentioned above provides cash or product bonuses for participants in a national point score series operated by the Australian National Drag Racing Association Ltd. during the season of ANDRA Championship Drag Racing.
Bonuses are paid to successful racers after each round of the Series where you reach the finals of your brackets and meet the conditions of the programme. This will include use of the Sponsor’s product or service where required, and display of the Sponsor’s decals.
ANDRA Contingency Sponsors receive direct exposure to the sizeable market inside ANDRA Drag Racing through promotional material circulated by ANDRA, and to numerous drag racing fans at each event through vehicle signage.
The programme is not just limited to hard-core racing equipment. The nationally based series encourages racers to contest interstate events, so areas like travel, accommodation, towing and transport requirements are also relevant.
The ANDRA Contingency Programme is one of the most effective and efficient ways for suppliers and manufacturers of drag racing equipment and related services to put themselves in front of potential customers.
WHO ARE THE SPONSORS?
The sponsors and the brackets they support are listed in the tables provided above. Updates and special news will appear periodically in the Fastlane magazine and Motor Mail. A specific email group will be set up to cater for members who have nominated for the ANDRA Contingency programme.
HOW MANY PRODUCTS/SERVICES CAN I NOMINATE?
As many as you wish, but only one sponsor of each type. For example, you can’t display decals for two different camshaft manufacturers or tyre suppliers. This also includes any other sponsorship that may already be displayed on your vehicle.
DO I HAVE TO RUN THE PRODUCT?
In nearly all cases yes, check the contingency tables and details listed on the website for more information.
In some cases the supplier may require that you pre-register your product with them, usually through the supplier website.
DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE RECEIPTS?
Most sponsors require proof of purchase or product registration through the supplier website, in some cases there is also a time limit on how long the contingency can be claimed after purchase. It is best to keep a copy of all proofs of purchase, supplier required forms and nomination forms with the competitor licence and log book at each event. Should you place then a copy of the receipt of purchase will need to be taken by an ANDRA representative. You can arrange with the ANDRA head office to store scanned images of your receipts to assist with the process.
HOW DO I GET THE DECALS?
The first step is to complete the nomination form and fill out any pre-registration required by the supplier. The event nomination form needs to be completed no later than seven days prior to the beginning of the event. A nomination must be lodged for each event contested.
The decals or stickers are supplied by ANDRA and will be sent to you at time of registration.
WHERE DO I PUT THE STICKERS?
In all cases, one decal must be clearly visible on each side of the vehicle.
Decals must not be obscured by wheels, exhausts or other decals. Decals must not be placed on windows.
Make sure you place the decals on the car or bike as early in the event as possible, failure to have decals affixed to your vehicle prior to round one of eliminations may render your nomination invalid.
To participate in the programme, an ANDRA Drag Racing Decal is also required to be displayed on each side of your car or bike. These will also be sent at the time of registration.
HOW DO I CLAIM A BONUS?
If you are the winner or runner-up, present your vehicle at the post race checking point for inspection of decals and if applicable products by the ANDRA contingency official and complete your claim form. Don’t forget to include your ABN details where applicable.
At the time of registration you will be required to select an advertising release acknowledgement check box, this advertising release acknowledgement permits the sponsors to use information and photos relating to the participant and their success in their own advertising.
Make sure any proof of purchase or required documents have been submitted to ANDRA.
If you do not receive your bonus within a reasonable period (remembering that some are processed overseas) phone ANDRA on 08 8271 5355 or email info@andra.com.au.
