ANDRA DIVISION DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS INVITED FOR 2011

The position of Division Director in the Western Australian, Victoria/Tasmanian and Northern Australian Divisions of ANDRA are due for election in 2011.

 Nominations are invited from Full Members of ANDRA in the respective Divisions.

Nominees should note that ANDRA is currently moving towards a limited company structure, from the incorporated association status that has served ANDRA well since the late eighties. The Divisional elections will be conducted using the current ANDRA Constitution. Later this year, once the change has been endorsed by ANDRA Members, three of the six ANDRA Division Directors may be appointed to the ANDRA Board, which will replace the ANDRA National Control Council. Otherwise, Divisional operations will continue as they currently do.

The most important issue for Division Directors is that they may become Board Members of a Company Limited by Guarantee, which would bring with it a much higher level of responsibility than the current National Control Council positions. More information is available in the on the ANDRA website and in the Information Memo mailed to all ANDRA Full Members earlier this month.
