As the half-year mark approaches quickly we would like to thank those who have contributed their time and vehicles to come on display with the ANDRA Activation trailer.
Throughout this week ANDRA has spent time in Toowoomba and Plainland in Queensland to take Drag Racing to promote the sport as the Fuchs Winternationals loom large at Willowbank Raceway 5-8 June.
ANDRA members Scott Cortina, Tony Gooderham and Rodney Hansen joined in the fun by displaying their vehicles at Queens Park, Toowoomba while Max Carpenter, Christine and Ricky Steffens and Kev and Peta Morton displayed their vehicles at Schulte’s Meat Tavern on the Warrego Hwy in Plainland. The display was also complemented by Plainland Property Sales, the Lockyer Valley Classic Cruisers and Gatton Muscle Car.
Hundreds of interested onlookers have stopped by the past three days to get a taste of ANDRA Drag Racing up close and personal while local newspapers and radio stations came along to see what all the fuss was about.
“We did a radio cross on the local radio station while we were down there,” said Christine Steffens.
“It’s been a very exciting couple of days, very busy. There were lots of people there and it’s actively marketing the product of drag racing.”
“This sort of promotion of our sport is what our sport needs, we just need the racers and the tracks to get behind it.”
Special thanks goes out to all members who stepped up and assisted to promote drag racing, provide insight into the sport and create a fun atmosphere for our many visitors.
There will be many more opportunities to get out and about throughout the remainder of the season so register your interest now by clicking here and let’s put drag racing back on the map!
