Adelaide – are you ready to feel the nitro?
The 2012/13 ANDRA Drag Racing Series launches at Adelaide International Raceway on October with the first rounds of Top Fuel and Pro Stock attacking the track.
Thousands turned out last time to experience the return of nitro Top Fuel dragsters to South Australia as they scorched to top speeds of over 430kmh and the flame throwing action will be even more intense this time as Darren Morgan, Phil Lamattina, Luke Shepherd and Steve Read look to kick off their season in the best way possible.
The super tight racing of Pro Stock will then make its comeback to the city of churches for the first time in over a decade. With super-tight racing decided by just thousandths of a second, these 1000 horsepower V8-powered machines will hit over 300kmh in just seven seconds. Stars competing will include 2012 Fuchs Winternationals winner Shane Tucker in his Monster Energy Pontiac and sister Kirsten in just her second Pro Stock event.
Come out to Rundle Mall on Thursday, October 18 to meet the Tucker siblings and see a display of race cars, as well as getting some great ANDRA Drag Racing hand outs.

Gates open 8am, racing 9am to late. Top Fuel qualifying 1:40pm, 4:20pm. Top Fuel elimination round 6:20pm, final 9:30pm. Pro Stock qualifying 10.50am, 1:20pm, eliminations 4pm, 6pm, 8pm and 9:50pm.
Prices
General admission $30, student/concession $20, children 10-16 years $10, kids under 10 free. Tickets available at the gate.
