He may have been defeated on a holeshot in the X-Champs Junior Dragster final, but Toby Austin will take some consolation in scooping the 60foot Rising Star Award for Round 6 of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.
Austin used a perfect .000 reaction time to run an 8.013 ET from a dial in of 8.00 to give him a 0.013 package to win the award. The run came in Round 1 of a charge to the final at Sydney Dragway.
The 60foot Rising Star Award recognises the Junior Dragster racer who has the best reaction time and dial in package at each round of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.
