Getting to grips with Sydney Dragway.
Team Bray have just rolled into Sydney ahead of this weekend’s fourth round of the ANDRA Pro Series for Top Doorslammer at Sydney Dragway looking to repeat their performances in Perth where both of the team’s cars qualified for the tough field.
Ben Bray, 28, wasn’t able to match his father’s semi final appearance but the competitiveness of the category is something he is looking forward to.
“Sixteen Top Doorslammers fighting for one of the eight spots in Sunday’s eliminations is an event in itself,” he said. “Dad has said quite a few times lately that back in 1995 when he was a big part of getting Top Doorslammer off the ground as a bracket that this is what he hoped it would become.”
With the weather looking ideal for drag racing Bray wants to fine tune his supercharged Sidchrome Monaro into the fives again.
“The last time we raced at Sydney Dragway at this time of the year one thing I do remember about it was that the track had lots of grip so fingers crossed it will be the same again,” he said.
Team Bray blogged their road trip on Facebook, click here to see their page.
Don’t forget the photo competition this weekend where ANDRA along with Team Bray Racing and Sidchrome have some great merchandise to give away. All you have to do is post a photo from the event on to the ANDRA Facebook wall over the course of the weekend and you could win!
The ANDRA Pro Series featuring Top Doorslammer, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle and the Rocket Allstars Racing Series is held on March 24 and 25 at Sydney Dragway.
Qualifying (Saturday) and racing (Sunday) both begin from 10am and tickets cost $35, with two day passes available for just $60.
