The Central Australian Drag Racing Association (CADRA) announced its Club Champions at the weekend, following six rounds of exciting racing at Alice Springs Inland Dragway across 2021.
The presentation night was held in ASID’s new tower.
Taking out the top honours for the CADRA in 2021 were:
- Street Car – Heather Parkinson (runner-up: Angelique Stainer)
- Super Street – Stephen Greenfield (runner-up: Michael O’Brian)
- Super Modified – Craig Hodge (runner-up: Andrew Sutton)
- Street Bike – Brian Moore (runner-up: Dean Gunson)
- Modified Bike – Dean Gunson (runner-up: Ben Brusnahan)
- Club Champion – Brian ‘Brain’ Moore
- Bike Rider of the Year – Dean Gunson
CADRA Treasurer, Sarah Bindle – who was also recognised at the presentations as the club’s Gallagher Australia Volunteer of the Year – congratulated all of the racers, volunteers and committee members on a 2021 well done.
“What a season of drag racing we have had here at Alice Springs Inland Dragway,” Bindle said.
“With six great rounds held throughout the year, our members dug deep and gave it all they had to ensure there was plenty of competition across the brackets.
“Our committee sends it congratulations to our champions and runners-up, and to all of our competitors on their great efforts this year.
“Of course, we can’t do what we do without our members, visiting racers, our supporting sponsors, and of course our volunteers – so thank you to you all for your support in 2021.
“We can’t wait to get back into racing in 2022 for another epic season at Alice Springs Inland Dragway.”

- Most travelled racer – Bryan Finn
- Rising Star (Drags) – Cody Hodgins
- Rising Star (Burnouts) – Krystle Goodwin
- Burnouts – 1st -Luke Taylor and 2nd – Bradley Moar
- Committee member of the year – Darren Moar
- Volunteer of the year MSNT – Andrea Doyle
- Gallagher Australia Volunteer of the Year (ANDRA) – Sarah Bindle
- Volunteer of the year CADRA- John Mowry
