An area the size of New South Wales has been flooded with a number of towns isolated, underwater or both. Nearly one hundred ANDRA racers live in the worst affected areas and the thoughts of their fellow competitors across the land are with them.

HUMPHREYSMEDIA1210After a career covering sports management, manufacturing and transport, Greg Humphreys has been appointed to the new ANDRA position of Deputy CEO/Business Manager. Based in Adelaide, Humphreys spent some years as the CEO of the Adelaide Thunderbirds / Netball SA, with responsibilities in areas such as team operations, venue management, events, membership and sponsorship.

"The new position is part of the restructure of ANDRA and a broadening of our resources." said ANDRA CEO Tony Thornton.

CHARITIES and youth mentoring organisations are missing out because of stalled negotiations on a proposed motorsport park at Gillman, its backers say.

The Adelaide Motorplex consortium has fought for three years to buy or lease State Government land for the $100 million project, with the initial $25 million stage to include a race circuit, drag strip and business centre.
