Drag racers have long known the thrill of speeding down the quarter mile in their high powered machines.

Now, those participating in Test n Tune events have the opportunity to share that experience with friends, family, or even their significant other, thanks to Willowbank Raceway.

In a show of strength for the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 27 Top Fuel dragsters and 21 nitro Funny Cars are pre-entered for next weekend's NHRA Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In addition, a healthy 27 Pro Stock entries and 23 Pro Stock Motorcycles are expected to compete.

Having started their relationship with ANDRA Pro Series as sponsors of Motorvate Melbourne earlier in the year, Lawrence and Hanson were blown away by the support, professionalism and sheer appreciation shown by the Victorian Drag Racing community. Further involvement in the sport has solidified Lawrence and Hansons desire to be a part of not only the efforts to build a track in Melbourne, but to also support a growing sport throughout Australia.

One Hundred Pink Ladies will look over Queensland's premier drag strip, Willowbank Raceway.

The cut-outs are part of what is known as a 'Mini Field of Women' event, held by Bundamba drag racing grandmother and breast cancer survivor Terri Sander.

The event will be held in conjunction with the facilities regularly scheduled Test N Tune event for the day, with Sander's Super Street 'Mama's Toy' machine to be specially decked out in pink for the occasion.

The Ballarat Drag Racing Club will trial a show-and-go course for young drivers this Sunday, to encourage drivers to take up the sport rather than risk losing their licence.

Rod and Kathy Oberg of Cosmic Enterprises would like to advise all Junior Dragster competitors that we will be passing the organisation and running of the annual Junior Dragster Challenge event over to the management of Willowbank Raceway. We have reluctantly made this decision after careful consideration of the impact of the Raceway changing the date allocated for the race meeting from the Saturday prior to the Castrol Edge Winternationals to the now scheduled Thursday June 9th, the day before the 2011 Winters.

Palmyra Sunstates Nationals - Cancelled. The Palmyra Drag Racing Club Inc. wishes to advise due to the large amount of rain received at the facilities over the past week, the committee has decided to cancel the 2010 Sunstate Nationals.
