Two ANDRA championship drag racing events will feature double header rounds this season with final approval being given from drag racing's governing body for events at Perth Motorplex and Willowbank Raceway to use the trial format.

More than 24,000 horsepower will be on show at Heathcote Park Raceway tomorrow (19 January) when eight Top Doorslammers lead the way for round one of the 2013 Slamfest series.

As a Victorian racer Cassar has done many kilometres of travelling to chase championship rounds in the past and is eager for the return of championship drag racing to his home state for the first time since 2001.

Rules submissions for inclusion in the 2014 ANDRA Rulebook closed on December 1, 2012.
