Next weekend will see the return of the Pro Street Shootout to Willowbank Raceway, led by new category True Street Blown.

The Pro Street Shootout will head to Queensland's premier drag strip on Saturday March 12, with the new True Street Blown bracket to be accompanied on track by racing from the Pro Street Blown and Unblown, Modified Street Blown and Unblown, Outlaw 10.5, Outlaw Radial, Dial Your Own and True Street Unblown classes.

This reputation has been further cemented after the latest round in the 2010/2011 Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Fuel Championship. Described by many as a showcase for one of Australia's best Top Fuel performances, this event saw no less than five side-by-side four second passes in the seven elimination races.

While ANDRA is a national organisation it is formally recognised only in South Australia, where it was possible to incorporate as an association in 1989. In fact the original constitution from 1973 stated ANDRA would be a company, but that was not easy to achieve at a national level then.
