Top Fuel standout Andrew Cowin will lead a field of 180 nostalgia racers at Willowbank Raceway this weekend.

The NITRO! Magazine Nostalgia Drags will hit Queensland's premier drag racing facility this Saturday February 19th for a full day and night of 'old school' action.

With a strong presence in the U.S. and Europe, Andy McCoy Race Cars is now extending its reach into Australia. The highly respected drag race car manufacturer has received initial approval from the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) for its popular 1970 Plymouth Duster-bodied car to be built for the Top Doorslammer category.

Despite threatening weather, a track record crowd were packed on to the recently extended spectator mounds at Portland's South Coast Raceway as rain began to fall with fourteen Doorslammers in the staging lanes and about to fire up for their qualifying round.

What a fabulous weekend the Slamfest turned out to be. Victor Bray and colleagues bought the Doorslammer circus to town and they put on a great show. The South Coast club have really developed their facility and put heaps of work into getting it ready. The massive car park paddocks were full and there was no space on the mounds.

Rob Pilkington elevated his Force Equipment/Alutech team to first position in the WA Top Comp Championship standings on Saturday night with a runner up at Perth Motorplex.

Pilkington's Funny Car reached the final, losing a close race against Daniel Gregorini's Camaro.

Mildura's Darren Morgan has extended his lead at the top of the standings in the ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel Championships following a thrilling victory at the Perth Motorplex last weekend. Morgan now sits on 372 points which is 74 points ahead of Andrew Cowin.
