ANDRA would like to confirm that the Spring Nationals scheduled at AIR will not proceed in 2015.

This Saturday (22 August) the latest round of the Queensland Drag Racing Championships will hit Willowbank Raceway, hosting more than 100 local heroes of all ages.

Making his debut on the race track this weekend is eight year old Rustie Willshire – son of prominent drag racing identity and Jamboree co-owner Collin Willshire – with the grade three, Calvary Christian College student set to join his 13.5 year old brother Jett in the Junior Dragster bracket for the first time. 

His team – Jett Racing – have been hard at work for weeks getting his Junior Dragster up to speed, and now Rustie can’t wait to hit the track. 

Darwin’s NT Titles has seen O’Rourke Motorsport’s Grant O’Rourke retain his second place standing in the Top Doorslammer championship, courtesy of a Top Qualifying result and a semi-finals appearance.

John Zappia bounced back from his Round 1 disappointment to take the points in Round 2 of the ANDRA Drag Racing Series for Top Doorslammer at the 2015 NT Titles in Darwin.

Grant O’Rourke surged to the top of the qualifying charts in balmy conditions during qualifying for Round 2 of Top Doorslammer in the ANDRA Drag Racing Series at Hidden Valley Drag Strip on Friday.

The Hidden Valley Drag Strip will be covered with rubber again this week with Round 2 of the national ANDRA Drag Racing Series with Top Doorslammer featuring as part of the NT Titles.

The Steel City Supercharged Shootout is being held on Sunday 4th October, 2015 at the Steel City Raceway, Mullaquana Road, Whyalla and features over 20 blown cars plus AUS vs USA jet cars.

This weekend’s round of the ANDRA Drag Racing Series at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Drag Strip (14-15 August, 2015) will host not only the last race for retiring fast femme Debbie O’Rourke, but also round two of racing for her husband Grant O’Rourke in the Top Doorslammer championship.
