A huge crowd was on hand for Day 3 of the Fuchs Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway for final qualifying in the ANDRA Drag Racing Series.

Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series qualifying came to a close while Group Three eliminations began in front of a massive crowd and a carnival atmosphere at Willowbank Raceway on Saturday.

And so it was on day two of the 2015 Fuchs Winternationals as Group Three and Four qualifying came to a close while Group Two made significant strides toward setting the race day field in the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series.

The race fans of Ipswich and its surrounds have turned out Wednesday night at Booval’s Burson Auto Parts store ahead of the start of the Fuchs Winternationals to meet two-time Top Fuel champion Phil Lamattina and seven-time Top Doorslammer champion John Zappia.

Round 2 of the Track Championship Series was run on Saturday night at Hidden Valley Drag Strip and while there was a strong racer turnout in all fields it was a race against the weather.
