Santo Rapisarda is naturally excited about his namesake event at Willowbank Raceway this Easter weekend.

A combined 56,000 nitro horsepower will come to bear on Queensland's Willowbank Raceway this Friday and Saturday with the running of Santo's Super 3 Extreme presented by Uplift Cranes and Titan Cranes.

At the 43rd Westernationals, Phil Lamattina did something you won’t see very often. Pushing hard for another ANDRA Drag Racing Series victory, he left some low hanging fruit on the tree… and he wasn’t happy.

The Southern Nationals presented by Fiat Professional & Essendon Chrysler Jeep Dodge was the first time three Group 1 brackets were at Calder Park for quite some time, generating lots of interest amongst the Victorian racers, as well as sparking off some great memories for many racers, including Darwin’s Scott White.

When the Santo’s Super 3 Extreme Drag Race presented by Uplift Cranes and Titan Cranes came to Willowbank Raceway in 2013, it saw two local Top Alcohol racers crowned victorious – 17 time champion Gary Phillips and category debutant Darren Fry.

Australian Top Fuel Motorcycle champion Chris Porter and his Fraser Motorcycles Top Fuel Harley are heading North to the Santo’s Super 3 Extreme Drag Race presented by Uplift Cranes and Titan Cranes.

The Southern Nationals run over April 4-5th was the second ANDRA National Championship event to be run at Calder Park Raceway in over 13 years. Top Doorslammer, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle headlined the event with the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship supporting the Group 1 show.

When Raceview’s Steve ‘The Pom’ Read heads to Willowbank Raceway this Easter for the second-running of the Santo’s Super 3 Extreme Drag Race presented by Uplift Cranes and Titan Cranes, he will not only be defending his title as the reigning event winner, but also the honour of the Queensland community.

Team Bray Racing has enjoyed a walk down memory lane and a semi-final appearance at the weekend thanks to the return of Top Doorslammer racing to Victoria’s Calder Park Raceway. 

The ANDRA Drag Racing Series and Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship got off to an early start this morning as the sun began to shine and the track came around but the full race program was unable to be completed.

Qualifying for the Southern Nationals presented by Fiat Professional & Essendon Chrysler Jeep Dodge got off to a promising start today but ultimately weather dictated proceedings at Calder Park.
