And so it will be when Aaron Hambridge, pilot of the Team APM Top Alcohol Dragster takes to the Sydney Dragway quarter mile on the 29th April – 1st of May in an effort to maintain and extend his points leader over a sea of former category champions.

Australia is recognised for boasting some of the toughest Top Fuel teams outside of North America.
This reputation has been further cemented after the latest round in the 2010/2011 Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Pro Series Top Fuel Championship. Described by many as a showcase for one of Australia's best Top Fuel performances, this event saw no less than five side-by-side four second passes in the seven elimination races.

In front of his home crowd last meeting, reigning ANDRA Top Doorslammer Champion John Zappia competed in the local Top Comp bracket and performed some solid runs in difficult conditions to prepare for the next round of the Pro Series Top Doorslammer event at the Perth Motorplex Westernationals.

With a strong presence in the U.S. and Europe, Andy McCoy Race Cars is now extending its reach into Australia. The highly respected drag race car manufacturer has received initial approval from the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) for its popular 1970 Plymouth Duster-bodied car to be built for the Top Doorslammer category.

Mildura's Darren Morgan has extended his lead at the top of the standings in the ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel Championships following a thrilling victory at the Perth Motorplex last weekend. Morgan now sits on 372 points which is 74 points ahead of Andrew Cowin.
In what started out as a bad day breaking the clutch, Maurice Brennan spent last weekend heading back to the familiar low six second territory posting a 6.29 in the first round of eliminations, signalling a certain return to form for the World's Quickest Commodore.

The Lamattina Top Fuel Racing Team ended a spectacular racing weekend disappointed after finishing runner up in Round 4 of the Andra Pro Series at Perth Motorplex.
The Mildura speed twins of Darren Morgan and Phil Lamattina met in the final of the fourth round of the ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel Championship series at the Perth Motorplex with Darren Morgan in the Hungry Jacks/AEG entry grabbing the win.

The Perth Motorplex was bristling with horsepower on Australia Day as over 80 teams took the public holiday as an opportunity to prepare for this weekend's ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel event.

Thanks for the thoughts and concerns we have received since last week's Queensland Flood Crisis. With tens of thousands of people having lost all their worldly possessions it may take months for things to even seem normal here.
As far as the racer community goes it was hit pretty hard as one could imagine with race cars in sheds etc. Here's an update on our team members and fellow racers that we know about:

The World's Quickest Commodore was quick enough to produce smiles all round the Boomeracing crew as Maurice Brennan steered the fan favourite back into the low six second range at the Perth Motorplex last weekend.
