Round 10 of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series was to be the event for some racers to close the gap in their chase for a championship. The predicted forecast of rain and winds only added more pressure to the racers and the Steel City club. It hasn’t been a kind season for the club with Mother Nature causing plenty of migraines.

You could say that Supercharged Outlaw racer Rodger Weste is feeling like a bull at the gate having been ready to go in his new racecar since last October.

His three previous attempts had been cancelled; so all going well, Weste is raring to get some runs on the boards at this Sunday’s Supercharged Shootout at Round 10 of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series.

Perth’s Alan Mahnkoph recently had a very successful outing at the 46th Westernationals picking up a win in the Supercharged Outlaws category, and his first gold ANDRA trophy.

Despite the extreme heat at the 46th running of the Westernationals at Perth Motorplex on March 4-5, six new Group 2 records were broken.

For the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series, all the racers had two qualifiers each day, giving them plenty of opportunity to improve, especially since Saturday was cooler after Friday’s heat.

It was a planned trip East for Western Australian Junior Dragster racer Jasmine Slamar and her family. The purpose of the trip besides having some fun was to pick up some points along the way. We asked Jasmine Slamar to give us a few words following her awesome win at the 2017 ANDRA Australian Nationals

Round 7 of the Summit Racing Equipment Series certainly delivered with some record setting racing at the 51st Australian Nationals.

The Super Comp bracket produced a number of new records at Calder Park and saw 12 of the 16-car field under their index! Big surprise was seeing the number one qualifier Daniel Camilleri go out in the first round against Les Heintz following a .608 reaction.
