New rules permitting removable roll cages have been brought in by ANDRA, providing a new way to ensure safety while on the track but also preserving the street legal nature of many vehicles.
The Australian National Drag Racing Association is set to make big changes to its rules for street cars, with modern ‘street registered’ vehicles being permitted to run without roll cages down to a limit of 10.00 seconds for the first time.
Three technical inspection days are coming up for Melbourne in order to gear up for a return of ANDRA Drag Racing to Calder Park Raceway.
Technical inspections are required for vehicles that have log books and ensure that competitors have safe, well engineered cars and motorcycles with which to tackle the drag strip.
Rules submissions for inclusion in the 2014 ANDRA Rulebook closed on December 1, 2012.
These submissions have been collated and are now available for viewing.
