SA's A1 Drag Racing Team will be at the Clovercrest Hotel – Motel on the corner of Kelly and Montague Roads on Saturday 9 October with their full set up mounting a display and doing start-ups for patrons and passers by.
“The big rig and race car will certainly be noticed and take up a fair bit of the car park” said Team Manager Chris Levi.
“Phil Camporeale the Manager there is a big supporter of the team and without his assistance we wouldn’t be running on the National scene representing SA” he said.
With no ¼ mile track in SA this is a rare chance to see and hear one of the top end cars at this popular Nth Eastern Suburbs venue. “This will be the only chance our supporters will have to see us before we embark on our annual trek to race in WA before tackling the eastern state tracks” lamented Chris Levi.
He added, “We ran at 6 meetings in WA last season, top qualifying 5 times for 20 wins from 27 runs, until a disastrous season ending engine blow up -not bad for a team with no track in their home State”.
