Not only will Adelaide race fans have the chance to get up close to Top Fuel this weekend, they can also win a brand new iPad 2.0 at the Clipsal 500 at the eXcellerator Zone, where Darren Morgan will fire up his ANDRA Top Fuel Championship leading rail at 10:30am and 1:10pm daily.
The eXcellerator Zone is a joint initiative between Orrcon Steel, a great drag racing supporter in Castrol EDGE, Speedcafe.com, DMR and Street Empire clothing.
The DMR fire-ups have already been a hit after day one with the Clipsal 500 fans, many of whom have never experienced the brute force of an 8000 horsepower Top Fuel dragster.
“It’s fantastic that we’re able to showcase our sport at the nation’s biggest V8 Supercar event,” said Morgan. “We’re getting such enthusiasm about our program from the fans and they are very well aware of Top Fuel and what we do, although we don’t race in Adelaide.”
Fans can win a brand new iPad 2.0 just by signing up with the Speedcafe.com girls, but not wanting to exclude those that can’t be at the event, if you sign up on the site throughout this weekend, you will also go into the draw.
“We’ve always tried to be about the fans, which is why we aren’t excluding those not at the track,” said Grant Rowley, editor of Speedcafe.com. “Speedcafe.com’s platinum partners in Orrcon Steel and Castrol EDGE have really driven the program and although Clipsal is synonymous with V8 Supercars, its great to showcase drag racing as well.”
The eXcellerator Zone, for those heading to the Clipsal 500, is located in the centre of the circuit, adjacent to the Blue Oval Store on the ADF Oval. Visitors can try and beat the times set down by Orrcon Steel-supported Ford Performance Racing drivers – Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison or ride a lap of the Clipsal circuit on a full-motion simulator.
Darren Morgan Racing will fire up it’s Top Fueller at 10:30am and 1:10pm each day, ensuring you won’t miss a minute of the V8 Supercars action.
