For the Jason Hedges Racing team (JHR), the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series has been a career year. Thus far this year, the JHR team has not endured any first round losses, with the team advancing to the semi-finals in two of the three events that have been completed this season.
The most recent event for the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series – the 2011 Nitro Champs, JHR improved their personal best elapsed time and speed to (7.103/192.28).
“Between the last two events – the Aeroflow by Rocket Industries event and the 2011 Nitro Champs, we installed a new powerplant to the DecoGlaze/J&D Custom Cabinetry sponsored Stroupe GTO. “Pro Stock in Australia is going ahead by leaps and bounds and we were left with no choice but to upgrade in order to keep up at the front of the pack,” said Jason Hedges, team owner and driver JHR.
Hedges added that the effort to change the motor and re-configure the new car was a testament to the hard working crew.
“Changing an engine between meetings is a major task, especially considering the differences between the two engines. I’d like to thank my crew led by crew chief, Russell Hearne, once at the track simply does not stop working, the crew, Jason Debono, Jason Newell, Peter O’Keefe and Nick Hartshorn
“The Castrol EDGE Winternationals is then most prestigious event of the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series calendar. We just want to qualify for the event, which is getting tougher and tougher with the way that the competition is stepping up, and then continue to make consistent runs. The rewards will come if we take small, simple steps,” concluded Hedges.
The Castrol EDGE Winternationals will be contested Queen’s Birthday long weekend (June 10 – 13) at Willowbank Raceway.
