In a major boost for motorsport fans in the Northern Territory, Australia’s ultimate shopping membership program, LMCT+, is putting pedal to the metal in support of community motorsport in the Northern Territory, as they were today announced as the presenting partner for two of the territory’s most iconic automotive events – Red CentreNATS and Nitro Up North.
Both events are sanctioned by the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA).
Red CentreNATS is supported by the Northern Territory Government and delivered by Northern Territory Major Events in partnership with Summernats. The event receives significant ongoing support from the Government and the LMCT+ partnership will help grow the event into the future. Now in its 11th year, Red CentreNATS is one of Australia’s must-do automotive festivals, with competitors and spectators coming from all over Australia to party with the vibrant Alice Springs automotive community.
In 2024, the Northern Territory Government announced its commitment to return Nitro Up North to a standalone event in 2025. The event is proudly supported through the Northern Territory Major Events Company’s Event Funding Program. LMCT+ is getting right behind the high-octane drag racing showdown and features the outrageous Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars, the National Drag Racing Championship Grand Final for Top Doorslammer, and Sportsman racing – including the opening round of the 2025/2026 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.
The commitment from LMCT+ is a pledge to be part of the growth of community motorsport in the NT and the partnership will bring vital marketing and operational support to both Red CentreNATS and Nitro Up North.
Adrian Portelli, the high-profile entrepreneur and car enthusiast behind LMCT+, has long been a vocal supporter of the Northern Territory. His passion for horsepower and community is now translating into real-world impact for Territory motorsport.
“This partnership is about adding to the great work already being done by the NT Government to bring unforgettable experiences to fans and entrants alike,” said Portelli.
“There are thousands of diehard automotive enthusiasts in the NT and they deserve awesome racing events like Nitro Up North and festivals like Red CentreNATS to enjoy, compete, and show off their pride and joy. No-one does it like the Northern Territory, and LMCT+ is proud to be part of making these events happen.”
Attendees and entrants can expect a healthy dose of LMCT+ flair at both events with their signature fun, giveaways, and high-impact surprises. There’ll be a range of exciting prizes and promotions for spectators and entrants alike soon to be revealed.
Andy Lopez, co-owner of Summernats and the NDRC said, “Adrian came into our business as a shareholder in 2024 because he loves cars and loves a good party. Adrian has looked at the work that we’re doing and identified where his other businesses can get involved. LMCT+ is a perfect fit for what we want to do in the NT with Red CentreNATS and Nitro Up North!”
With LMCT+ on board, Red CentreNATS and Nitro Up North are set to roar louder, shine brighter, and reach new heights in 2025 and beyond.
