LRS Racing – The Shock Shop is the latest company to sign up to ANDRA’s Member Benefits Program, offering ANDRA members 10 percent off its services.
The North Carolina (USA) based business is run by Clifford Lovendahl and his dad David Lovendahl. Clifford is also a crew member for the world’s quickest and fastest woman on two wheels – Australia’s Niki Zak.
The business offers a number of services including revalving for any front strut or rear shock and can also assist with upgrading your current suspension to new JRI, Bilstein or Penske suspension.
Lovendahl says he can also offer a digital grip meter that has 100 memory settings for USD800 instead of the Conventional grip meter that goes for USD1,600-1,700. This meter has reportedly been tested in the NHRA and has proven consistent with the leading grip meters.
The company has been in the shock absorber business for more than 40 years.
“From dirt track racing to NASCAR to drag racing we have been involved and we have the experience to cover your shock absorber needs,” Lovendahl said.
“From revalving to assistance with technical tools we can help. We have also recently been making chemicals for tyres to increase the grip and the tyre life, as you don’t have to do the monster burnouts which use up a lot of the tyre and put a lot of strain and wear and tear on the drive train.”
It is no surprise that LRS Racing – The Shock Shop has signed up to the ANDRA Member Benefits Program, with Lovendahl having a number of ties to the Australian industry.
“The main reason I was interested in joining this program was to broaden my outreach to racers in the Australian region,” Lovendahl said.
“I have worked with Niki since 2017 including doing three-angle slow motion analysis videos and we also have numerous customers who run our shock absorber package, including NHRA Pro Stock driver Shane Tucker and his Aussie posse.
“I will be coming over to Australia in June and I am looking forward to meeting more Aussie racers there and it will be great to put faces to names.
“I am really looking forward to being able to help Australian racers with their racing programs through the ANDRA member benefits program.”
