The highly anticipated Mariani Family Motorsport Supporting Make-A-Wish Australia, Black Tie Ball has been announced.
To be held on Thursday, 30th October, the night before the start of the Australian Drag Racing Nationals at Sydney Dragway, the brand new floating Dockside Pavilion in Sydney’s Darling Harbour, will host what is destined to be the industry’s social event of the year.
The black tie or cocktail dress only event will include exquisite sit down banquet, beverages, entertainment from a live band, a comedy act, speeches from prominent industry stakeholders and a live auction with some amazing prizes.
The Make-A-Wish Top Fuel dragster will be on display inside the floating ballroom revealing for the first time the ‘Nationals’ livery complete with new sponsors.
The who’s who of Australian Drag Racing is expected to attend along with Make-A-Wish executives and ambassador. Interest has been high with a number of drag racing teams, officials and other industry stakeholders already making enquiries to secure tickets.
Make-A-Wish Top Fuel driver Mark Mariani is very excited about the night, saying, “I can’t believe we are really doing this, it is so exciting”.
“We have made it known we want this to be the industry’s ‘night of nights’. This is not about just getting together and having a few beers and a laugh, this is about putting on a showcase social event for the sport”, said Mark.
Just like their racing, Mariani Family Motorsport have high expectations for the night, the fun to be had by all is paramount and so is how much they raise for Make-A-Wish, how much they are hoping to raise they are not saying, but you can bet it is many thousands of dollars.
300 tickets will go on sale on Monday, 29th September for the Industry’s Night of Nights.
Tickets are priced at $300 each or $2500 for a table of 10.
All proceeds from the event will go to Make-A-Wish Australia.
