Sydney Dragway has renamed the 2014 Nitro Champs to the "X-Champs"
The 2014 X-Champs, the event formerly known as the Nitro Champs, is now accepting entries.
Sydney Dragway decided on the name change to reflect the growth of the sport and represent the extreme and engaging nature of the event in the hope to reach new audiences.
“The name X Champs was designed to offer a more inclusive representation of an annual event that supports an evolving group of categories that are both extreme and sensational,” said Sydney Dragway CEO Graham Elliot. “Consideration was also given to today’s consumer appetite and how they relate to modern brands and become engaged with the brands identity. The new X-Champs brand characterises the future development of our racing and show style features that has everyone on the edge of their seat.”

Sydney Dragway is also hosting two Test n Tune’s on Saturday the 26th April open to all racers and another on Wednesday 30th April (10.00am-4:00pm sharp) for 2014 X Champs entrants only.
