Drag News Australia has released its first print edition of Drag News Magazine featuring an interview with ANDRA CEO Malcolm Bulley.
A limited print run of magazines has been made available for online order for the first time, following on from the release of an e-magazine six months ago.
Drag News Magazine editor Luke Nieuwhof said that with the support of the Australian drag racing community the Drag News team would aim to make the magazine an enduring part of the sport's media landscape.
“It is certainly a leap of faith for us as to go to a print magazine and we are doing a lot of learning along the way,” he said. “We hope that people will support us in these early stages so we can provide them with the magazine they want and deserve.”
The first print issue features an in depth feature on Australian Pro Stock, an interview with ANDRA CEO Malcolm Bulley and the story behind Chris Tait’s world record holding Nissan 200SX. Add in more interviews with Rick Chilton, Rob Taylor and event coverage from Sydney, Willowbank, Adelaide and Mildura and the magazine is jam packed full of content.
Nieuwhof said it was important that people felt they got value from the magazine and its features.
“We don’t want Drag News Magazine to be a repeat of what people have already heard, we want it to be giving them new information and teaching them some things they maybe didn’t know about the sport and the people they race with,” he said.
The print edition is available for online order at www.dragnews.com.au as either a single issue or a three month subscription. Issues will become available monthly.
Nieuwhof said they are also looking for distributors in each state.
“If you have a business that would be interested in distributing the magazine at your storefront or perhaps you are even just a team that would like to sell a few copies at the track, you can get in touch with us at press@dragnews.com.au.”
