Grant O’Rourke is on his way to South Australia for the SA Summer Nationals, with the Brisbane-based racer looking to secure back-to-back Top Doorslammer victories at Adelaide International Raceway.
O’Rourke parked up his Top Doorslammer from regular competition at the end of the 2015/2016 season. However, with such a burning passion for drag racing and with the new support of G&S Transport NT, Grant and his wife Debbie O’Rourke have been sure to appear at select events in the months since.
The last time he competed at AIR at the ANDRA Championship Grand Final in April, the WA-expat O’Rourke came away with the win.
“Adelaide International Raceway is a pretty happy hunting ground for us – when we visited there earlier this year we took out the event victory, and we also took out the win there in (the Sping Nationals) October of 2014,” explained O’Rourke.
“I am certainly keen to hit the road and put on a show for the fans of Adelaide, while supporting this track that is a burgeoning venue for drag racing in Australia.
“It is sure to be an exciting weekend for racers and spectators alike, and I hope we see plenty of South Australia’s motorsport enthusiasts at the track over the two days – I promise, those that do come out and experience this great sport of ours live in the flesh won’t be disappointed!”
Fans can keep up with all the O’Rourke Motorsport action via the team’s Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/orourkemotorsport will be able to see regular updates from the team all weekend-long.
