With this weekend seeing another round of the Rocket Allstars Racing Series in Sydney, sportsman competitors have an opportunity to reset national records.
It is important to understand the criteria for setting a national record so you can earn your place in the record books.
Drivers and riders must present themselves and their vehicle to the designated fuel/weight checking station/point immediately after any run capable of supporting a standing ANDRA National Record and must advise the ANDRA Steward of their performance.
In Group One national records can be reset at any stage in qualifying or eliminations. In Groups Two and Three, a record must be set or backed up with a pass in eliminations, though qualifying can be used for one part (either the record itself or the back up).
The top thing we recommend is that if you think you are going to be in contention for a national record over the event, have a chat to the ANDRA stewards and make sure they are aware of your vehicle’s performances. They are the experts when it comes to all the necessary steps and opening the lines of communication is always valuable.
Good luck and we hope our racers can set the records books alight!
