Qualifying for the ANDRA Grand Final is officially complete with the final racing for the 18/19 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series now underway at the Perth Motorplex.
Lee Watson (Super Street), Trent Anthony (Modified Bike), Dean Dawes (Super Sedan), Adam Mundy (Modfiied) and Amanda Martin (Top Sportsman) have officially claimed the Top Qualifier Medallions – thanks to TileCoTheShowerPeople and KC Tools – for their brackets early this afternoon.
They will receive their accolades this evening alongside Kyle Putland (Competition), Todd Stacy (Sunoco 260GT Plus Top Qualifier for Super Stock), Brett Ghedina (Competition Bike) and Jack Bowden (Supercharged Outlaws) who completed their qualifying last night.
For Modified championship contender Adam Mundy, top qualifying is a good start to what he hopes will be an even better day.
“This is very good, the track is fantastic as it was last time at the Westernationals where we were also the top qualifier. We haven’t touched the car, the startline is nice and sticky and the 60s are good, so we aren’t going to touch anything and just go out and have fun,” Mundy said.
“I am feeling a little bit nervous (ahead of the racing) as I should be, there are three of us on maximum points so it is going to be a case of whoever goes further, takes it out – I am looking forward to it,” he said, while thanking his dad and crew chief Des Mundy, John Boundey and Ron for all of their help.
