RULES SUBMISSIONS (EXTERNAL): TECHNICAL ISSUES
1 Altered Production – Weightbreaks (Mathew Lisle)
Safety concerns over weight limits and addition of ballast to meet weightbreaks.
2 OZ Modified – Minimum Weights (Bryce Miller)
Increase AA/OM minimum weight to 2550lbs.
Increase BB/OM minimum weight to 2250lbs.
3 OZ Modified – Minimum Weights and additional classes (Damien McKern)
Maintain AA/OM minimum weight at 2400lbs – (Strikeout Triple Rotor – insert 6 cylinder (4.0 litre maximum)
Strikeout BB/OM
Introduce new class CC/OM for 4 cylinder with minimum weight to 2100lbs.
Introduce new class RR/OM for Twin Rotor minimum weight of 2100lbs.
Introduce new class RRR/OM for Triple Rotor minimum weight of 2400lbs.
4 Sports Modified – Minimum Weights and additional classes (Damien McKern)
Maintain AA/SM minimum weight at 2400lbs for 6 cylinder (4.0 litre maximum), restricted to 2 wheel drive
Maintain BB/SM minimum weight at 2200lbs for Triple Rotor, restricted to 2 wheel drive
Increase CC/SM minimum weight to 2200lbs for Twin Rotor / 4 Cylinder, restricted to 2 wheel drive
Introduce new class DD/SM for 6 cylinder (4.0 litre maximum) with a minimum weight of 2800lbs for All Wheel drive.
Introduce new class EE/SM for 4 cylinder with a minimum weight of 2400lbs for All Wheel drive.
5 Delay Devices – All classes where delay devices are prohibited (Darren Parker)
Rule clarification to be added in rulebook to prevent the use of transbrake button that have built-in delay.
6 Traction Control – All Classes (Sydney ANDRA Officials)
Traction / Slew Control rule needs to be expanded to encompass ‘All Classes’.
7 Injected Methanol – Introduce Fire Suppression System Requirements (Damien McKern)
Amendment to existing rule to require fuel injected methanol powered vehicles to carry onboard fire supression systems.
