Following negotiations with Racing Onn Promotion’s Rino D'Alfonso, the Southern Super Gas Series is pleased to announce that the Adelaide Aeroflow Summer Speedfest event on February 23-24 has been added to the series.
Series spokesman Michael Bibby said with the primary aim of the series to support Super Gas racing in the southern part of Australia, the addition of the event into the series was another positive move in achieving that goal.
The inclusion of this event makes a hectic time for the series participants with rounds scheduled over three consecutive weekends with round three at Portland’s Slamfest on February 15-16 followed by round four in Adelaide and then back to Portland on March 2 for the final round.
Bibby said while it was not an ideal schedule, it provided support to the Adelaide Super Gas racers and to efforts in promoting drag racing in Adelaide.
