The Fuchs Winternationals is just around the corner and the excitement is building for the June 5th to 8th event at Willowbank Raceway in Queensland.

Not only is the Fuchs Winternationals the biggest drag racing event on the Australian National Drag Racing Association calendar, but is also the largest drag racing event outside of North America.

Attracting over 400 racers to Willowbank Raceway and showcasing some of the biggest Group One fields of the season, AVE P/L and Speedweek are ready to step up the video production for the event.

ANDRA CEO Malcolm Bulley said, “TV audiences continue to grow and we look forward to working with AVE at the Fuchs Winternationals to put a spotlight on the stars of our sport, the racers and teams, who turnout to the track even when the cameras aren’t rolling.

“TV is a very busy market with more options than ever before. To gain the best possible exposure involves a broad spectrum of coverage utilising many forms of media. AVE has been able to deliver on a range of these fronts and offer a wider spectrum of coverage in what’s more of a one stop shop.”

AVE Managing Director Greg Sita said, “We know the history and prestige behind the Winternationals and as such we are stepping up the production to capture the very best of ANDRA Drag Racing. The four days of awesome action will no doubt showcase the sheer horsepower and spectacle that ANDRA Drag Racing is famous for and we want to have it covered.

Speedweek’s Creative Director Matt Swaab went on the say, “We are bringing back the Jib (Crane) which we had used in the past with some spectacular vision. In addition we will be giving the slow motion camera a workout on Sunday. It’s finals day and we want to capture all the action, excitement and emotions from what should be an epic weekend.”

Speedweek is Australia’s most popular Free-to-Air motorsports TV program and has been on air with over 1000 episodes representing some 20 years of motorsports on the SBS channel.

The first of the 2014 Fuchs Winternationals shows will go to air on Speedweek one week after the event so sure to pencil June 15th into your diary.
