The drought between Pro Stock events during the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series will be bought to an end next weekend when the next round of the ANDRA Pro Series Australian Pro Stock Championship takes place at Sydney Dragway for the Aeroflow by Rocket Industries event.
Next weekend’s event is meant to be the third round of the 2010/2011 calendar, however, the Willowbank New Year’s Series that had been scheduled for the middle of January had been cancelled as a result of the floods that devastated the Brisbane area in January.
As always, next weekend’s Pro Stock event will be contested as a 16 car field.
“It’s great to be able to be back racing again. I understand that it is frustrating when there is such a long gap between events, but this has been only due to events out of our control, it’s great that many of these teams have taken this break to their advantage with plenty of testing taking place, not to mention the new cars and the new sponsors that will be making their debut at the event. I have full confidence that Pro Stock will continue to live up to the high expectations that have been established as a result of the strong performances that have been turned in during the inception of the 16 car field format,” said Paul Porter PSOA President.
The event, as previously mentioned will carry a naming rights sponsor in the way of Aeroflow and Rocket Industries, whom have been long time supporters of Australian Drag Racing.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Aeroflow and Rocket Industries for stepping up to the plate and offering funds for the event. Aeroflow and Rocket Industries have been long time supporters of Drag Racing and are definitely keen on ensuring the sport continues to grow throughout the country,” said Porter.
As the current entry list stands there are 20 cars entered for next weekend’s event. This should equate to the bump spot being in the low 7.1 second range.
