Round 2 of the Summit Racing Queensland Championship is coming up fast on Saturday, September 2nd.
Following the successful launch of the inaugural three round series at Palmyra Dragway in July, the championship now moves to Benaraby Raceway.
The one-day event will feature Supercharged Outlaws, Top Sportsman, Modified, Super Sedan, Modified Bike, Junior Dragster and more.
If you are interested in contesting this unique Queensland Tri-Series entries must be received before August 27th. After that, a late fee will apply.
Current points leaders include Anthony Spataro and David Carney both on 80 points in Supercharged Outlaws. Katie Cunningham leads Modified on 90 and is followed by Savos Pandelakis on 80. Super Sedan has Gavin. Brett Keirnan picked up 100 points in Super Street with Richard Dawe in second place on 90. In Modified Bike Russell Bell has 90 points while Ross Bryand follows with 80.
Others class leaders are Kilarney Back in Junior Dragster, Tom Parry in Super Gas while and Christopher Reik and Lee Davis sit on 90 points each in the Street category.
All Summit Racing Queensland Championship events will be run over the eighth-mile using the Chicago Shootout format. These events are focused on providing a format that encourages Sportsman racers to travel and enjoy plenty of track time on their way to be crowned the Queensland Champion and win a unique bronze ANDRA Christmas Tree trophy.

SPECTATOR ADMISSION (from 11am)
Adults : $20- Members : $15
Children: $15- (13 to 16 years old)
Children: Free- (under 13 with an accompanying adult)
Family – $50- (2 adults & 2 children)
Full Bar & Catering on site, No glass or eskies please!!!
Alcohol is to remain in the designated bar area and NO ALCOHOL in the pits during racing
RACER NOMINATION
Pre Nominations – $130* includes driver only – Crew pay gate entry at the gate
– Juniors $80*
– Nominations must be received before 5 pm August 27 to count as a Pre Nom.
– Day Licence if required – $15
– *If received after 5 pm August 27, an additional Late Nom Fee $30 (For any entry received after Pre Noms close)
