As the news of the devastating floods filter through to us and knowing there are a lot of our friends within the Queensland drag racing community affected, Sydney Dragway will conduct a silent auction at the January 22 Test n Tune event and urges anyone out there in the business community to donate something to the auction. Sydney Dragway will start the ball rolling by donating a 3-day corporate package for two to attend the 2011 Nitro Champs as VIP guests at the end of April.

ALL proceeds of the auction will be going directly to the Qld Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal.

“We can only imagine the devastation and loss our neighbours are going through in the flood affected areas of Queensland and northern New South Wales at the moment and understand it will be a long and costly rebuilding process. The Drag Racing community is a close knit group no matter what state you live in and after many calls from local racers it was decided this would be the best way for us to be involved as a group,” said Venue and Events Manager, Ray Treasure.

As an added incentive to attend the silent auction, Sydney Dragway will offer a special door prize to a spectator who purchases the lucky entry ticket. He or she will win a 3-day corporate package for two to attend the 2011 Nitro Champs as VIP guests. The package will include a personal ‘Start Line Experience’ during the running of Top Fuel, as well as great supporter track-packs including event t-shirts, caps and ear plugs! The VIP Start Line Club is the best seat in the house; fully staffed, fully catered with VIP car parking and access to the competitor racing paddock included in the package that is valued at $1000.

The experience of standing in between two 8,000 hp nitro-burning Top Fuel dragsters is an experience the winners will never forget!

The lucky ticket number will be drawn on the day during the Test n Tune event just before the Silent Auction bids are announced.

Tickets to the January 22nd Test n Tune and Silent Auction will be available on the day from the ticket box off Ferrers Road, Eastern Creek.
