Team Bray Racing has ranked strongly in its first appearance in the annual Dot Com awards of well-known American drag racing website CompetitionPlus.com.
Each year since 1999, CompetitionPlus.com has presented the reader-voted ‘Best of’ Dot Com awards, with hundreds of thousands of votes cast for the ‘Best of 2013’ instalment.
TBR was nominated in two categories of the 2013 awards, with team principal Victor Bray’s twitter feed ranking in fourth for Best Twitter Feed while the team’s Facebook page was seventh in the Best Facebook Page category.
CompetitionPlus.com editor Bobby Bennett said it was the first time Australia had been represented on the nominee panel.
“I am thankful for the Australian participation in this year’s Dot Com awards,” said Bennett.
“In the past, while we have had many Aussies vote there has been no representation on the ballot, whereas this year we had several nominees.”
Six-time back-to-back Top Doorslammer champion Victor Bray said he was honoured to see his twitter feed rank fourth amongst some big international names of the sport.
“The names on the nominees list for CompetitionPlus.com‘s Dot Com awards are really impressive, so to rank fourth alongside people like John and Courtney Force and Ron Capps is a real honour especially on our first year of being nominated,” said Bray.
“I was also very pleased to see our team’s Facebook page receiving a substantial amount of votes to be placed seventh – we put a lot of work into our social media to try and keep our fans up to date and ‘in the know’ so it is good to see it is valued by our fans.”
Taking out TBR’s nominated categories were Courtney Force (twitter feed) and Yellowbullet (facebook), for a full listing of winners please visit http://competitionplus.com/drag-racing/news/27340-and-the-winners-are-the-15th-annual-dot-com-awards
