Round 4 of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series produced two new national records at Willowbank Raceway on Saturday April 11.
Chris Tait set the CC/SC terminal speed (207.91 mph) in his Toyota-powered Nissan 200SX. The previous record held by Domenic Rigoli was 198.03 mph. Tait ran an amazing 6.741 ET in Round 2 of the event but unfortunately didn’t back it up within the required one percent.
Jason Payne also reset terminal speed for DD/APIA reaching 180.98 mph in his Nissan Skyline. Previously the national minimum was set at 180 mph.
